Participant Code of Conduct
County Kids Club is committed to creating a fun, safe, welcoming, and respectful environment where every child has the opportunity to participate, learn new skills, make friends, and enjoy playing in our programs.
Our programs are focused on participation, development, teamwork, and enjoyment. To help make that possible, we ask all participants and families to follow the expectations below.
Children participating in our programs are expected to:
Behaviour that negatively affects the safety, comfort, or participation of others will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, bullying, intimidation, repeated teasing, aggressive behaviour, physical violence, threatening behaviour, abusive language, or intentionally preventing another child from participating.
We recognize that children are still learning how to manage emotions, interact with others, and participate in group activities. Coaches will use reasonable judgment and age-appropriate approaches when addressing behavioural concerns.
When behaviour becomes disruptive, unsafe, or prevents other children from participating, coaches may intervene and redirect the child.
Depending on the circumstances, seriousness, and frequency of the behaviour, a coach may determine that a participant needs to:
These decisions will be made by the coaching team based on what they believe is necessary to maintain a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment for the group.
In situations where County Kids Club determines that a participant can no longer safely or appropriately participate in the program, the parent or guardian will be notified.
Any partial reimbursement of program fees will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by County Kids Club, taking into consideration factors such as the circumstances surrounding the removal and the portion of the program already completed. Any applicable reimbursement will be discussed with the participant's parent or guardian.
We also ask parents and guardians to help us maintain a positive environment by supporting children positively, treating coaches and other families respectfully, and allowing coaches to manage activities and behavioural issues during sessions.
Our goal is to make sure every child has a fair opportunity to participate, learn, and have fun while keeping the program safe and enjoyable for everyone.
