Jess
Jessica Santos
Sports and movement have always brought me joy, connection, and confidence. As a mom to an active almost-3-year-old, I noticed there were few places for young kids to explore movement in a fun, supportive way. Our community deserves more opportunities like this, and I’m excited to help create them.
Lara
Lara Hilmi
Lara has a lifelong connection to sport and physical activity that fuels her passion for helping children discover the joy and benefits of movement. Lara believes deeply in the power of sport as a way to build confidence, leadership skills and lasting friendships. When not chasing after her 3 young boys, she can be found running and cycling along the Millenium Trail.
Mike
Michael Da Silva
A lifelong fitness enthusiast who loves seeing kids move, grow, and push their limits. A former die-hard skateboarder turned cyclist, runner, soccer, and volleyball player. Mike is passionate about longevity, healthy living, and building strong, connected communities. You can find him volunteering at the local Repair Cafés and Kids of Steel events or around town trying to keep up with his active toddler.
Rob
Robert Spagnola
Sport and physical activity have always been central to Rob’s life. As a former athlete, youth sports coach, and now Personal Trainer and owner of The Gym in the Armoury, he brings both expertise and enthusiasm to every group he leads. When he’s not coaching or training, Rob is busy chasing his three-year-old around town, getting in even more steps than he planned.

FAQ

Here's a list of some of the most frequently asked questions.

Where is this located?
County Kids Club is held in Picton, Prince Edward County, Canada. Classes take place in GYM A at Prince Edward Collegiate Institute (PECI) — 41 Barker Street, Picton, ON.
How many kids will be in the program?
We’re keeping groups small — a maximum of 24 kids total (12 per group: ages 3–4 and 5–6) — so every child gets plenty of attention, encouragement, and room to move and play.
What is the age range?
The program is open to children ages 3–6. Some activities might require the kids to be split into two groups:
  • 3–4 years
  • 5–6 years

This helps us tailor activities to each age group’s energy, coordination, and confidence level.

What is the cost?
It’s $45 per child for a 6-week session — an affordable way to get kids moving, learning, and having fun every week!
What is the schedule?
Classes run on Saturdays from 9:30–10:30 AM. Our Winter Session begins January 17, 2026 and ends on February 28, 2026. Please note there will be no session on Family Day Weekend (February 14).
What equipment does my child need?
No equipment or special clothing is needed. Just something comfortable to move around in and a clean pair of indoor shoes.
Does my child need to be at a certain fitness level?
No minimum fitness level is required—while the activities are designed to be challenging, they’re purposely structured so kids feel engaged and empowered to participate in a fun, friendly, and supportive environment.
Do I drop my child off or do I stay with them?
A parent or guardian is required to stay for the duration of each class, but we encourage you to sit back, relax, and watch your child in action. Our instructors will lead the group and keep everyone engaged — you just get to enjoy seeing your little one move, play, and grow in confidence!
What’s the format of a typical session?
Each session starts with a quick team huddle where we set simple goals and get everyone ready to go. After a warm-up, kids move through 3-5 fun and purposeful activities, each lasting about 8-12 minutes. We take water breaks and gather for mini huddles between activities to keep everyone refreshed, focused, and connected.
Are any snacks provided?
We’ll provide a healthy snack for the kids after each class, but please make sure your child brings a water bottle to stay hydrated. If they need something extra, feel free to have a small snack ready for before or after class.
What is the adult-to-child ratio?
The program will be supported by 3–5 adult volunteers each week, ensuring a safe, supportive, and well-supervised environment for all participants.
